about hannah
I am a curious person. Some may call it nosy, but for me, curiosity is about wanting to understand what makes each person unique. That curiosity started with my own story, rooted in my desire to make sense of myself and my own experiences. Growing up in an immigrant household as a bi-racial person, I was surrounded by challenges that shaped my perspective on resilience and identity. Mental illness, cultural differences, and the complexities of belonging were all part of the landscape of my upbringing.
Therapy provides a powerful space for people to process their experiences, explore their identities, and develop tools for resilience. I am guided by the understanding that mental health challenges are not signs of weakness but responses to life’s difficulties, often shaped by factors beyond a person’s control. My therapeutic approach is rooted in relational and psychodynamic methods. I work collaboratively with clients to uncover the roots of emotional suffering by focusing on self-reflection and by building an understanding of how trauma shapes emotional and behavioral patterns.
This path is unique in the sense that it has allowed me to align my values with my professional practice. It offers a way to honor where I come from while transforming those lessons into opportunities to support and uplift others. What I find most meaningful about this field is its ability to transform adversity into resilience, creating a pathway toward healing—for both clients and practitioners alike.
